Assembly Conference 2010

The first Bradford VCS Assembley Conference was held on Thurs 25 February 2010 at Valley Parade, Bradford. Over 120 people attended on the day from a variety of voluntary and community sector groups and organisations in the Bradford District.

This first conference was a chance for local people and workers to find out about the new Bradford District Assembly and what it means for the sector. It also provided the chance for people to have their say in setting the priorities for the Assembly to take forward over the next 12 months.

The day included speaker Jess Mace from the Gloucestershire VCS Assembly who came to share their stories and successes. The day also saw the announcement of the two Assembly Steering Group Representatives - Caroline Schwaller (Keighley & Ilkley Voluntary & Community Action) and John Hill (Foundation Housing) who were elected to represent the Assembly Steering Group on the Bradford District Partnership Board (Caroline) and the Stronger Communites Partnership (John).
