Comforting the Disturbed and Disturbing the Comfortable : 11/12 February 2009

The Neighbourhood Training and Resource Centre would like to invite you to:  Comforting the Disturbed and Disturbing The Comfortable a workshop organised by the Hull Centre for Restorative Practice.

Date:    Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 February 2009

Time:    9.30am – 3.30pm

Venue:  The Octagon, Walker Street, Hull

The workshops will be run by Paul Sivak, who is a lecturer and coordinator of the Child Welfare Training Project at California State University, Stanislaus County, California.  Professor Sivak is an expert on working with communities, working as a consultant for community building for organisations, tenant groups and mental health clients.  He has designed and conducted training/development in family conferencing for assorted public and community-based agencies.

The workshops are aimed at those working in communities and focused on how to provide better services. There will be representatives from other agencies present so there is a chance for networking.

We have 10 free places available for either day.  Please contact me to book your place, stating which day you would like to attend. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
