Building Resilience Event - 10 March 2009

Event organised by the Extended Services Strategy Group.
We cannot protect our children and young people from every difficulty in life but we can help them cope more effectively with those difficulties by building their resilience.
The aims of the day are to enable participants to gain a better understanding of the term resilience, to raise awareness of what they already do to build resilience and to develop an understanding of what more they might do.
It will offer the chance to understand the links between Prevention and Early Intervention and resilience, and will help participants understand how they can evidence the building of resilience.
Who is it for?
Staff who work with children and young people in universal, prevention and early intervention services, and who are able to cascade their learning to others in their organisation.
