Faith and the City - 30 April 2009
The University of Bradford School of Lifelong Education and Development in partnership with the Bradford District Faiths Forum has established the Faith and the City programme.
The programme is a series of thought provoking and challenging discussions, dialogues and discourses that will be led by speakers who are authorities and critiques in the broad field of religion and politics.
The purpose of this programme is to raise the level of debate among key sections of the communities and to encourage us to collectively think about difficult issues around cohesion, faith, politics and values.
The title of the next event is "Leadership – the skills and behaviours that make a difference" (Biography below).

The University coffee shop; Coffee with Principles will remain open in the Atrium where refreshments will be available to purchase before the event.

Biography - Noorzaman Rashid BA (Hons), MBA Managing Director Harvey Nash Group Plc.
Noorzaman has spent the last 12 years working with multinational companies leading Talent Management Solutions aimed at improving business performance.
He is an expert in managing performance and business transformation. Noorzaman was previously MD of Norman Broadbent International where he led their mergers and acquisition strategy and was Vice President Europe for AT Kearney Executive Search. He has also worked for 2 large Metropolitan Authorities in corporate and strategic planning roles.
Noorzaman has a deep understanding of the issues facing public sector entities and is skilled at identifying board level talent to help make outstanding contributions to organisations. He has successfully recruited over 300 Chair, CEO and board level positions.
His Board Directorships include; Edutrust; Westminster Forum; Middlesex University and Public Services Management Network. Noorzaman is also a Board Member of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement where he is Chairman of the Transformation Board.
Noorzaman was nominated as one of the top 100 most influential people of Muslim origin in 2008. Bradford born, he is proud to be seen as a British Muslim who works to inspire others to make a real difference.
An author and public speaker in performance management and organisational change he has worked in Russia, Japan, South Africa and the USA.
He is currently working hard to raise funds and open 8 New City Academies across the country.
