Searching Keyword & Document Search
The keyword search appears as a link at the very top of each page of the website. To use it simply enter your keyword(s) and click search. Your keyword(s) are then compared against every word contained in the website and its documents and the resulting matches are displayed.
The majority of documents on the CNet website are pdf, doc or xls. When the document link is clicked it will open in a new window and can be saved using your browser controls.
Alternatively, if you have a PC, right-click on the link to the document. If you use a Macintosh, hold down the mouse button over the link. In both cases, a popup menu will then appear. Scroll down the menu and click on 'Save target as'. You will then be asked to choose a folder on your computer where you can save the document.
Most computers already have the software to view PDF documents. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader (for reading PDFs), it is available from the Adobe site - Download Adobe Reader.
All links to external sites will open in a new window. You can identify these links by the icon.
