The Pay and Employment Rights Service (PERS) is funded to provide a health check service to voluntary organisations in West Yorkshire. This involves reviewing your Human Resource (HR) documentation such as written statement of employment particulars or contract and your policies and procedures. PERS will report on which are / are not legally compliant and make recommendations for updating them.
PERS rates start at 40 per hour to provide a health check to companies, but Big Lottery funding means that PERS can offer up to 7 hours free for VCS organisations in West Yorkshire. For further information, call the team on 01924 428030 or download the Health Check factsheet below.
PERS also provides training on all employment matters. Courses in 2011 include:- flexible working and TUPE, managing conflict, data protection, supervision and appraisal, and redundancy. They will also tailor a course to suit your needs.
Many of these are free to VCS workers in West Yorkshire and some bursary places are also available. For more information see the PERS website below or to book email firstname.lastname@example.org
