Small Commissions
The Small Projects Fund is designed to encourage local groups/organisations to deliver key District wide targets by designing local solutions for local needs. The Local Area Agreement (LAA) for Bradford has a set of priorities for achieving genuinely sustainable communities across the whole district.
Who can Apply - A community group, a social enterprise, a voluntary organisation, a statutory body, police service etc. Any organisation which is in a position to help achieve Bradford’s identified LAA priorities and has a commitment to partnership working is eligible to apply. The funds are available across the whole District.
Closing date for receipt of applications is 12.00 noon, Thursday 28th June 2007 (1st round) and 4th October 2007 (2nd round). All Grants must be spent and evidence submitted by 31st March 2008.
Eligibility
What is eligible?
Any project which helps to deliver LAA targets. You must identify a local need, offer a local solution and demonstrate the full support of the community/neighbourhood benefiting from the project whilst being able to clearly reflect at least one of the LAA outcomes. Please read guidelines for what we will and will not fund.

Children and Young People:
- Access to high quality learning, play, arts, sports and leisure activities;
- Access to further education, employment and training;
- Promote health
Safer and Stronger Communities:
- Reduce levels of crime
- Feel safe in a high quality environment
- Encourage full participation in shaping the future of Bradford District
- Improve standards of life in disadvantaged neighbourhoods
- Enable diverse communities to live together
Healthier Communities and Older People:
- Promote health
- Improve quality of life and independence
- Promote well-being and encourage active involvement in community life
How much money is available?
Between £100 to £2,000 is available per project.
What is the timescale?
Closing date for receipt of applications is 12.00 noon, Thursday 28th June 2007 (1st round) and 4th October 2007 (2nd round). All Grants must be spent and evidence submitted by 31st March 2008.
What do you need to do?
Fill in all sections of the application form and return to the CNet office with copies of all relevant supporting documentation. It is advisable to speak to a member of the Grants Team before you submit an application.
